MySQL Experience
urSQL Incident Manager
The urSQL Incident Manager is a web-interface to a MySQL database of
urSQL Utility incidents (see also Perl Projects).
The MySQL backend consists of several normalized tables that hold the
urSQL Incident information. I designed and developed the MySQL database
and interface.
Installations
I've installed and configured MySQL to run on Linux (Red Hat 6 & Slackware),
Windows 95, and Windows 98. My first experience with MySQL was with an early
version in 1998 -- since then I've written several CGI scripts to interface
with MySQL, as well as a Windows program
(urSQL
that includes a MySQL Administation module. I've also written a Perl
shell script used for text-based data entry into a MySQL database.
MyLocalMusic
The MyLocalMusic website uses a
MySQL backend that I designed and developed. This database contains several
normalized tables that hold information about musical bands, venues, and
shows. The majority of this site is driven by the MySQL database. (Please note
that this site is NOT currently in production and may not be available.)
Miscellaneous/Personal
I have a MySQL database server that serves as the backend for two utility
programs I wrote to manage information. One of the program is a Windows-based
application that uses ODBC to connect to MySQL and the other is a raw database
that I access via the MySQL shell.
I also wrote a Hangman-type game using Perl/DBI/MySQL.
I have been consistently contributed to the main MySQL Mailing List since 1999.
